Friday Music honors the legendary rockers Cheap Trick with the first release from the extensive Cheap Trick Remaster Series. Remastered for the first time from the original Epic Records tapes, this specially priced two-fer includes the original album versions of their classics One On One (1982) and Next Position Please (1983).
One On One produced by Roy Thomas Baker (The Cars, Queen) was a pivotal release for the band as it was an MTV favorite and included the video and radio hits If You Want My Love and She's Tight. Never short on hit songs, this album netted the band tremendous airplay throughout the year, as well as the first to feature new member Jon Brant.
Philly's own Todd Rundgren (Meatloaf, Badfinger) lends a hand as producer on the amazing Next Position Please. Filled with incredible high energy magic like the opener I Can't Take It, the wonderful title track Next Position Please, as well as guitar slingers like Borderline, this album was a real winner to the fans, and has gone on to become one of the more critically acclaimed titles in their extensive catalog.
Both of these Cheap Trick classics have been out of print for quite some time. Friday Music is very excited to be offering the original album versions for the first time together in one special package. Complete with all the original artwork elements and five star remastering, and new liner notes, this first offering from the Cheap Trick Remaster Series is truly a much anticipated release for rockers everywhere! |
